  • COPE www.cope.org.au: online resource created to address the range of challenges that modern parents face.  Includes multiples specific information articles expecting multiples and coping with multiples.  Also includes "The Mum Drum", each episode/podcast focuses on a specific challenge of modern parenthood.

  • Raising Children www.raisingchildren.net.au: a complete online resource that answers any question about everyday parenting issues, approved by Australian experts.
  • Gidget Foundation Australia www.gidgetfoundation.org.au: information to support the emotional wellbeing of expectant and new parents.  Offering telehealth conselling sessions and Gidget Village among other support resources.
  • Triple P – Positive Parenting Program www.triplep-parenting.net.au: a free parenting resource that helps make raising children and teenagers easier.
  • Parentline 1300 301 300 www.parentline.com.au: a confidential telephone service providing professional counselling and support in Queensland.

  • Positive Relationships Program by Lifeline 1300 991 443 www.lifelinedarlingdowns.org.au/positive-relationships-program: provides broad-based education and counselling to build emotional resilience, strengthen relationships, prevent family breakdowns, and support parenting. Services offered in Toowoomba; other regional services also available through Lifeline.

 

Mental Health:

  • PANDA 1300 726 306 www.panda.org.au: free national helpline for both mums and dad's experiencing peri- and post-natal depression.  Website also has a lot of information including factsheets and links to other support services. 
  • Mind Spot 1800 61 44 34 www.mindspot.org.au: free national online mental health clinic providing assessment and treatment for adults experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, and chronic pain
  • Beyond Blue 1300 224 636 www.beyondblue.org.au: for support regarding anxiety and depression, with an online chat forum option.
